Transform

Updated: Oct 13, 2020

Websters defines this action as:

a: to change in composition or structure

b: to change the outward form or appearance of

c: to change in character or condition : CONVERT

There are a few more random definitions, but they start getting into math and genetics and I'm definitely not going there with this post.

So, let's get back to it.

How does transformation feel? How truly uncomfortable can this get?

Huh? You don't want to? Don't blame you at all...I don't either. Fortunately or unfortunately, life doesn't always offer us the choice and quite often, the act of transforming leaves a lot of destruction in it's wake. We are constantly growing and evolving as humans, only we don't all do it at the same rate, same time, or if you are a married couple, you may be going in completely opposite directions.

Would it surprise you to learn that when one spouse asks for a divorce or separation, they have actually been thinking about it for at least 2 years? The other spouse may not have known or may have made the choice to ignore the signs; either way, they are now, theoretically 2 years behind the other spouse in this transformation. And as daunting as that may seem, I would ask that you take the time to consider "c." in the definition; "to change in character or condition: CONVERT".

To me, this is the sweet spot and where all of the power is in the action of transformation. Notice I said the "action" of transformation. This action is the movement that will close the gap on those two years and help you CONVERT your emotion, energy and and being. Action will put you in the drivers seat and keep you moving forward.

The process of transforming also requires vulnerability, another word that makes most of us break out in a cold sweat. But on the other side of the action, uncomfortableness, and vulnerability is a sheer bliss. A faith, love and strength for and in yourself that you never could have imagined. All of this for staying in the process, doing the hard work and committing to yourself and your success.

The ultimate power of transformation belongs to each of us whenever we are ready.
